Intl Child-Centered Divorce Month logo - newThe ninth International Child-Centered Divorce Month is being commemorated once again in January. The entire month is devoted to alerting parents about the effects of divorce on children – especially the impact of parental decisions on their children’s well-being during and long after a divorce.

Divorce attorneys, mediators, therapists, financial planners, coaches, parenting experts and other professionals around the world are providing free gifts to parents that offer advice and insights to help them best cope with divorce and parenting issues. Our Family Wizard, an online resource providing shared custody calendars and visitation schedules for co-parents, has stepped up to sponsor ICCD Month activities.

More divorces are filed in January, following the holiday season, than in any other month. That’s why Rosalind Sedacca, Divorce & Parenting Coach and founder of the Child-Centered Divorce Network, chose January to commemorate ICCD Month each year. The goal is to educate parents about how to prevent negative consequences for children during and after separation or divorce.

At the special website, parents can access free ebooks, coaching services, videos, audio programs and other valuable gifts by simply clicking links. The website will be available throughout January: www.divorcedparentsupport.com/ebook.

Parents will also find listings of free teleseminars, webinars and other special events being held during January on the Events Calendar at the same website: www.divorceparentsupport.com/ebook.

Divorce professionals around the world are participating to remind parents about their responsibility to their children’s well-being before, during and after divorce. Our purpose is education and mistake prevention. We want to encourage respectful co-parenting, teach effective communication skills, and guide parents away from litigation and toward cooperative, mediated solutions whenever possible.

We are honored to have Our Family Wizard as our featured sponsor. Their website, www.ourfamilywizard.com, provides the tools parents need to organize their shared parenting and reduce conflict between both co-parents, leaving them with more time to spend with their children.

As a divorced and later remarried parent, I founded the Child-Centered Divorce Network to help parents make the best decisions regarding their children when divorce becomes a reality. Based on my own personal experience with divorce, I then wrote the internationally-acclaimed ebook, How Do I Tell the Kids about the Divorce? A Create-a-Storybook Guide to Preparing Your Children — with Love!

Parental decisions about divorce can affect and scar children – for years – and often for a lifetime. We want to tell divorcing parents: Regardless of your own emotional state, it is essential to put your children’s needs first when making decisions related to divorce or separation!

I invite you to visit www.childcentereddivorce.com throughout the year where I provide free articles, advice, coaching services and many valuable resources for parents transitioning through and beyond divorce.
